細々と残っていた #メランポジウム に
#ヤマトシジミ がやってきました。
羽が黒いのは雌ですね。
他に咲きたての花はありますが黄色が好みだったのかな。

小さなひまわり🌻
花壇にふんわり群れているのがかわいい💛
メキシコ~中央アメリカ原産。
暑さに強く、肥料も少なめでいいらしい✨

Tiny sunflowers🌻
I love how they form soft clusters in the flower bed💛
Native to Mexico and Central America, they love the heat and don’t need much fertilizer✨

Blackfoot Daisy/Melampodium leucanthum. Then one hybrid cultivar so I'd consider it non native- Salvia x jamensis 'Ignition Sunrise'

Melampodium divaricatum is the most common species of its genus in Mesoamerica. Native from Mexico to Brazil, it spreads easily, even rooting at the nodes. In Guatemala, it grows wild and is used traditionally to treat swollen eyelids. #Guatemala #plants #Melampodium #Asteraceae

#FlyDay? I haven't seen these fly and I don't recognize their species. Many of their cousins keep wings neatly folded under cover; that could be happening here. When it's unclear whether someone belongs in a group, I say invite them & let them decide whether to participate.
