There's a great account on the bad place that posts when celebrities reach the "Meldrew Point" - 19,537 days old: the same age as Richard Wilson when episode 1 of One Foot In The Grave was aired.

Going to stare at a wall blankly for a couple of hours, then head to the pub.

There is a twitter account called the Meldrew Point (twitter.com/MeldrewPoint ), which tags celebs when they reach the exact age that Richard Wilson was when the first episode was broadcast!

Happy #MeldrewPoint Day, @wilwheaton.net! My first reaction on reading this was to feel like Walter Donovan after choosing the false Grail, but I take solace from knowing fellow early-50s folk, Wil included, look more fresh-faced in general than their 80s counterparts. No offence to Richard Wilson!😅

Happy Meldrew Point Day, Brendan Rodgers! Today you are 19,537 days old and have reached your Meldrew Point - the age of Richard Wilson on the day One Foot In The Grave was first aired on Jan 4th 1990.

The Meldrew point is literally the only good thing about twitter x.com/meldrewpoint...

Happy Meldrew Point to me!

I don't belieeeeeve it 😭🙈👴🏻 #everdecreasingcircles #meldrewpoint @meldrewpoint.bsky.social

Everyone thinks he was an old sod - he's only 53 and a half. #MeldrewPoint.

When did you pass the #meldrewpoint
