Final score: 980

It definitely helped that three of the five global locations I had to pinpoint today were in Europe, but nevertheless, it's quite satisfying to score so close to the 989 maximum. 🙂

In January 2023, Esther Rantzen announced she had stage 4 lung cancer. Today she celebrates her 86th birthday. This example of hope is yet another way in which that magnificent woman has been a force for good in the world. Here's an interview I did in 2017, where she shines like a sunflower.

Happy #MeldrewPoint Day, @wilwheaton.net! My first reaction on reading this was to feel like Walter Donovan after choosing the false Grail, but I take solace from knowing fellow early-50s folk, Wil included, look more fresh-faced in general than their 80s counterparts. No offence to Richard Wilson!😅
Happy Meldrew Point Day, Wil Wheaton! Today you are 19,537 days old and have reached your Meldrew Point - the age of Richard Wilson on the day One Foot In The Grave was first aired on Jan 4, 1990. I don’t believe it!

Absolute truth. 😇 Happy new year, everyone. Let's hope it's a more positive one for all of us, though honestly, I'd settle for boring.
It is a little known fact that they prerecord the Jools Holland Hootenanny - all the people on screen are faking it being New Year for tv.

For eg, last year’s was prerecorded June 15th, 1535, during the Siege of Munster, look carefully and you can see John of Leiden mingling with the audience.
