How will #MerribekCouncil apply its new Sports Surfaces Policy regarding a proposal for a new synthetic hockey field? Will the Precautionary principle be applied as stipulated in the policy? #PFAS #SyntheticTurf #Microplastics
There is demand for a second hockey pitch in #Merribek but the sport has locked itself into synthetic pitches which bring concerns re #PFAS and #microplastics pollution.

I am glad #MerribekCouncil pulled the plug on Hydrogen garbage trucks in late 2017 before investing too much. But they are still waiting for appropriate EV trucks to upgrade to.

I’d love to see this sort of treatment on the streets north of Bell st in @MerribekCouncil. They work well off Lygon st and Sydney rd down south. Don’t forget about us up here too!
