COVID negative.

So I just feel shitty because of microplastics, or what?

Unclear what they actually are made of. Microplastics I guess

Just like Big Oil, petrochemical executives knew for decades that microplastics were infiltrating the human body — and that their businesses could be in trouble if people found out. Amazing revelations here from @susrust.bsky.social: www.latimes.com/environment/...
Industry executives knew for decades that microplastics were infiltrating the human body
Decades before microplastics were found in human hearts and brains, industry executives privately knew about tiny plastic particles crossing the gut lining, documents from the 1970s and 1980s show.

God damn shrinkflation. All these foods are full of microplastics and they used to give us regular plastic to consume.

It would be fair to say that we bleed plastic. A new study found microplastics in the blood of 96% of people tested. Microplastics in our blood may be linked to heart disease, neurodegenerative disease and reproductive issues.

Microplastics in early-onset carcinogenesis
Abstract. Plastics have become integral to modern life, but their persistence has generated vast quantities of microplastics (MPs, <5 mm) and nanoplasti

broke: microplastics in your balls

woke: a LensCrafters and a Cheesecake Factory in your balls
My thoughts on the Cheesecake Factory:
•I absolutely love their food.
•It’s expensive.
•I would happily eat peanut butter in my car before I would wait 40 minutes for a beeper to tell me my table’s ready while browsing LensCrafters/Joanne’s Fabrics or whatever is in our haunted balls these days

In 1974, Exxon, Shell, and other plastics industry representatives heard German gastroenterologist Gerhard Volkheimer present new research showing that microplastics could infiltrate the human body.

One executive called the findings a “horror story.” There’s no sign the industry warned the public.
Big Oil and the plastics industry knew about microplastics in the 1970s | Center for Climate Integrity
Exxon, Shell, and other plastics producers were warned about the risks of microplastics in humans and animals as early as 1974, an LA Times investigation revealed.

Thank you to Rep. Rashida Tlaib and @repbonnie.bsky.social for introducing the Monitor Microplastics Now Act! We have so much evidence linking microplastics to health concerns, and it's long past time to monitor and regulate these pollutants.
