Obviously I know a bunch of applicants won't be qualified, and an even larger number will be but will still be longshots because, at Metacortex, even a boring "staff engineer on internal tooling, level 3" job will be a status symbol, even worth leaving another good tech job for.

A & B work on our internal tool for deploying other team's code in a specific kind of environment and use case, because Metacortex is huge and supports code across a variety of platforms. This is a pretty important part of a pretty small but not worthless bit of our business.
