Great thread. I often see appeals to Crenshaw’s authority without a respect for the metaphysic she was using, which is about what happens when multiple distinct systems of social organization are at play at the same time on actual people.
It explicitly CONTRADICTS separating oppression into axes.

My idea of a three way is more cerebral, metaphysic, even. When someone is lucky enough to be a plaything for my boy, I ensure that we all are connected. When I rim my boy, he spasms and moans which causes him to suck harder, to gag and moan. This makes the playmate feel MY efforts at the other end.

so i think he's coming from same area that C Wright Mills comes from, which is essentially focusing on elite/Weberian style organization/empirical analysis over theory-based approaches
imo, it's more fruitful (in this, i am with mill in being skeptical of the labour metaphysic)

Which was existentially horrifying rather than comforting to me as a child. As an adult I think it's a metaphysic that breeds ethical laziness; My parents don't have to *actually* love me as I exist in reality, because as long as the follow the rules, they will be gifted a simulacrum of me.

Has anyone else ever had an experience with a new but standard commercial moderate potency edible that just completely fucking floored you and gave a deeply psychedelic/metaphysic experience like an especially potent mushroom? Because oh geez now I no longer haven't.
