Vassar! An inclusive staff, wonderful campus, and is near some towns upstate with Black populations and the metronorth. An ex went there and I spent a good amount of time on campus, its worth a visit imo

I've never had their coffee; it always smelled burnt and I only drink organic coffee. I used to get their iced tea at Grand Central when I was taking MetroNorth frequently; haven't had anything from there in two decades.

I walk on this exact stretch of sidewalk every week. It is always busy (there is a subway stop, a MetroNorth station, a bunch of stores, and multiple schools around. Any federal officer using a firearm here is *dangerous* & out of line (let alone the fact that the entire premise of ICE is horseshit)

It’s technically just extra morning and afternoon MetroNorth trains direct to Beacon and Poughkeepsie, which is my area…. And it’s already changing. My Burning bush is flaming red on top now.

these numbers don’t seem that high. i take the lirr at least once a week, which is 6000 km / year. sometimes a bit more + some metronorth and 1-2 amtrak trips and im 9-10km / year

A couple of days ago three young women halfway down the train car from me on MetroNorth into NYC at 9am were so loud I could hear them through the noise-cancelling. Every statement required a loud affirmation”Yes!” “Oh my god I know!” “Right!?!?” Waaay too early for that . . . 🤐🫠
