the thing that bugs me is very few Castlevanias are Metroidvanias. Saying "Metroidvania" instead of "Metroidlike" is stealing metroid valor

I think for a sequel to a game like HK, its impressive how many features/abilities they culled in silksong. Especially in a metroidlike, theres usually a kneejerk inclination to hold onto features and tools

it's just so incredibly fresh. there's like, almost NO overlap with "normal metroidlike upgrades" and it sells its core concept really really well. the true final boss is also just an incredible sequence? and this postgame. WOW.
