#Micro:bits
And then i wonder: how can I make my other units more like this? To what extent will these principles linger on in their future classrooms? Would there be so much of a "techlash" if there were fewer smartboards and more micro:bits in schools today? 2/2

Micro:bits are an amazing learning tool and a great way to get students started with coding. This session provides two extremes: an intro and first-steps on getting started with Micro:bits and a demo of what's possible by mixing physical-world capabilities (sensors and relays) with an AI LLM.

At coding club, we have been exploring the micro:bits to see what they can do. We've made working dice, tamagotchis and even tried creating our own songs!

The game is a treasure hunt for a hidden radio transmitter, using a signal-strength meter. The only requirements are a browser and a few micro:bits. It includes a lesson plan and worksheet for in-depth exploration, plus a quick start to just play the game. www.benthamsgaze.org/2026/09/08/a...

#TodaysMomentOfAwesome Interactive Jewelry class added RGB LEDs to micro:Bits, creating sound reactive, motion sensing, button pressing systems on the go.

I always evaluate a class by how many "It works!" moments. Today was 100% epiphany all around.😁

I deserve a treat 🍦

#TodaysMomentOfAwesome Interactive Jewelry class learns to program micro:Bits

A student made "digital sand" that shifts with a tilt. In 25 minutes.

Last year I got digital sand from @print-kits.bsky.social that took me 3 hours not counting 3D printing the case.

Kids these days....

One weakness of Micro:bits I keep encountering is in the power packs. Just the weight of the batteries in normal use can pull the wires out of either end, interrupting my students' work. I am using hot glue to try to solve the problem. Do you have a good solution?

Micro:bit peeps, is there a vendor you use for equipment for building with Micro:bits (like servos and such)? One that is used to taking P.O.s from a school district? #microbits #csforall
