You are absolutely right about that. My autumn way is to give it a rub of salt, pepper, and sage, then roast it over a bed of apples, onions, and cubed butternut squash, also seasoned with sage. Precook the squash for 4 or 5 minutes in the microwave or they'll take forever to get soft.

Also been bringing Aldi microwave rice and beans packets to eat cuz we don't got the money for fast food. That shit is like $20 for a meal. That's a fifth of $100. My vending machine soda cost $2.50. This is all bonkers. Everything sucks.

I decided to stay overnight at the casino, to avoid 3.5 hours of driving. This is the first hotel I've been in that doesn't have a microwave in the room or even a continental breakfast. Like, even the cheapest places have them, but I assume this one wants you to go to the restaurants. Ugh.
