As a 22+ yr milspouse - this is a really serious reflection on very poor unprincipled Army leadership. Every single one of those officers asked to vet their soldiers should have absolutely refused. And they know it.

I spent most of my 22-years in the Army as an aviator in and out of line units flying OH-58's and UH-60's.We lost more aircrews in peacetime training accidents than combat. It's a very dangerous business. Having the President smear them as their families are freshly mourning is unforgivable.
