Can't believe the US had laws that are literally "ayyy give copper a chance!!" as part of some "fairness" thing which then got reversed to "actually fuck them legacy networks and the last mile". Amazed how the US can slap itself in the face so frequently in the specific way it'll reverse decisions.

Oddly our best way to get the cat to the vet (1 mile/1.6 km away, no car) is to put her in a hard-sided carrier with a wire front and load that onto the supporting legs of my mobility scooter, which I then ride. Her nose is in the boundary layer of smells (so many smells!) & she gets a smoother ride

In fairness outside of about a 2-3 mile radius of downtowns the entire region is sub-urban

The clicking is getting better/quieter but it still feels heavy and tight at the start of every session. It takes me at least a mile to loosen it up and even then it's always a little off.
