I remember when I was a kid there was a scare of cheap imported miniblinds having lead paint and you could get test swabs to test your old blinds. Also my mom in her hospital nursing days recalls many children having to go through terrible rounds of chelation therapy.

I'm still going to make a pair of curtain holders from yoyos but the Super Flora Curtains are done! There's no lining bc they're going on a window with miniblinds & this pic was taken an hour before sunset, facing west, in a perfectly clear sky so it's a LOT of sun right now #sewingbullshit

I'm still going to make a pair of curtain holders from yoyos but the Super Flora Curtains are done! There's no lining bc they're going on a window with miniblinds & this pic was taken an hour before sunset, facing west, in a perfectly clear sky so it's a LOT of sun right now #sewingbullshit
If I were to replace the window shade with miniblinds in the widow in this room, I could bring them back to plain view at my desk, but, I can't raise the shade high enough to get them light on the old entertainment center I use as a computer/equipment shelf (and can't install blinds w/o teardown).
