Just spent an hour lying on my sofa, listening to my only MiniDisc so far again, messing with settings on the device, like the EQ, etc. Also got the last somewhat flaky thing fixed; the Hold switch needed cleaning, too.
MDs are cute, fun to use, a nice and tangible thing. I'm very happy :3

sure those three-piece OZs are FANTASTIC, but man this one has some details that are just sublime - believe that’s a Panasonic CQ-VX5500D, and if you’re keeping score at home, hell yeah that’s a CD/minidisc double DIN setup

I have successfully turned 1 device into 5 individual devices.
There can be anywhere between 2 and 5 more cameras in there depending on the mood and a gameboy. Also forgot to include the Kobo Clara Colour.

Chinese companies have seemingly always known this, and just, never stopped making equipment. The ONLY stuff they seemingly didn't keep making was stuff that was heavily drm locked or unpopular. (eg, DAT\Minidisc, though I could see a demand for the latter)

The Karimani Files gathers ten lost tracks of mine from the early 2000s. Most of them were previously only available on vinyl and have long been sold out.
