What’s left of the SS Monomoy, an iron steamship wrecked at Marwick Bay in 1896. Its old boiler was flung ashore in 1985. A fascinating object in the landscape.

We have lots of your white shark cousins living off Cape Cod (there is a seal buffet on Monomoy Island). There are boat tours to see them - Atlantic White Shark Conservancy runs one of them - but there are others. You’ve got to visit the extended fam!

A sunny but blustery and chilling cold day for a few short hikes (too frigid for anything more!🥶). Long distance view at Monomoy in Chatham then isolated dunes at Crowes Pasture in East Dennis. Lots of ice on the trails but still a good day out🥾❤️

No white sharks spotted today but plenty of shark food. Seals were spread out all along the coast with the biggest haulouts off Monomoy. Also had several basking sharks including this big one off Peaked Hill.🦭🦈
