Can King Sebastian weather the inner turmoil within his mind? Is Darin truly willing to do anything to protect his king, even if it breaks his heart? And once their feelings reach a fever pitch, can Sebastian and Darin keep their hands to themselves? To me, that highlights what's so monstrous about it -- these weren't a weird group of guys who randomly hated, like, Chex cereal. Their racism was so commonplace that for them it was as reflexive as saying "bless you" after a sneeze.

That's horrifying.

I very much prefer goblins to be a monstrous species over a civilized species and i felt the best way to do that is to focus more on they're English and Scottish folklore and fuse that with the fairy changling to make them a justifiably hated creature.

As a study I drew my sona with Yujiro Hanna’s musculature and before finishing inking it I kind of just hated it.

I like Itagaki’s approach to drawing exaggerated musculature I just don’t think it fits my sona. Even for the purpose of making her look monstrous.

I hated Gabrielle. She was a terrible human, a monstrous mother who warped her child’s understanding of love and preyed on his natural need to be loved and protected. But that was fine. Characters can be awful and flawed and we aren’t owed a comforting explanation or validation for their awfulness.
