About time. I am in most ways very much about letting people do what they wish, but I am firmly against gambling. Not on grounds of morality, because I've seen how it's capable of causing immense misery and suffering.
Yeah I always try to play games maybe a different way (maybe try the other morality option or something). Then a quarter of a way through I abandon that and just play it like I always do. 😂😭💀

So it's a mistake to say it cannot do anything or that it is worthless. As a tool, it certainly has uses. Without even touching on the morality of its creation and who it benefits, the problem comes about when someone claims that it can think, or that it can replace humans.

i don't know if these guys mean what we mean when they say the word "moral." no reason to assume Claude has to assign all humans equal weight in its moral calculus - and if it's extrapolating human-ish morality from all of human writing, it probably doesn't!

Not personally from those areas but having had a myth and folklore interest my whole life I can tell you that it’s a large overlap, to the point of synonym. Traditions that include jinn have them as capable of free will and the entire spectrum of human behavior and morality…

i wonder what impact that will have on our relationship with nature, food and just general morality. there will definitely be pushback from a lot of people who are uncomfortable with the idea of animals having any sort of autonomy or freedom outside of our control and their own moral codes
