Rundas, awesome cool dude the game emphasized, just dies in two hyper modes on hard mode. Mogenar, first major boss, has a crap ton of HP, has barriers he can refill, these barriers have limited openings, an annoying morphball phase you do 3 times, & mandates hypermode to deal damage to his HP bar.

LOVE this game so much. Its start throws me off cause I want the morphball and bomb immediately but once you get past that it just continuously escalates. The lore connecting all the games and Ravenbeak revelation at the end 😮💨 Ravenous can't come soon enough. I need another game asap

Also the controls are really simple? the crouch literally works like the morphball. tap down to ball/crouch, you roll/crawl with left or right and can't jump during that state, then you tap up to return to normal.

genuinely, nothing comes close. prime 3's "balrog" fight (if you know you know) achieves a similar *impact* for me, but no other ridley fight has that amount of tension, difficulty and variety. using morphball to roll in between his tail stabs is downright hypnotic!

Honestly my biggest criticism of Samus Returns so far is that crouching fucking sucks with the 3DS joystick, and doing the morphball input is even worse. Yes I know about touching the screen for the ball but I refuse. Other than that, Im having a good time
