This is a photo of a mushroom. It is the traditional mushroom. The long gray stalk, with the gray head on top and the white ribs down below working like structural support of the head. It is a detail of a mushroom. Just the head and the top of the stalk. It is set against a black background as I took this photo with my flash, while kneeling with wet needs on the forest floor. This was on a fallen tree. But it could be a space ship.

There are brown leaves and twigs on the floor surrounding the mushroom. It’s dark, like the sun is just setting and the pink and white of the mushroom stands out from the drab brown of the floor.
