When motorways are "full", new lanes are built.
When cycle paths or trains are full, also only new lanes are built on motorways.

Bond soundtracks are great for a drive. Moonraker is good for beautiful country roads but Live and Let Die is better for motorways.

Philadelphia’s layout is so funny to me because it’s these lovely walkable areas separated by yawning abysses of truly terrifying motorways.

Removing urban motorways doesn't cause traffic to simply reroute; it causes traffic to 'evaporate' as folks discover alternative ways to travel. It's a key intervention for tackling pollution, community severence and climate change; it's motorways' retention, not their removal, that's disastrous.
What's something that experts/practitioners in your field universally agree upon, but that remains a "hot take" among the general public?
