on this national night out, let’s remember that davis moturi knew his neighbor was a violent racist and repeatedly warned his council member and MPD of the incoming violence. due to jacob frey and brian o’hara’s incompetence, moturi was then very nearly murdered by his neighbor.
The Davis Moturi case remains one of the darkest incidents in Minneapolis in recent years, non-ICE category. Todd Barnette was in charge the whole time, but you'd never have known. He was like a kid on a milk carton.

Moturi says dozens of calls to police failed to address neighbor's violence, threats. The first time he called 911, officer who showed up was one who'd profiled Moturi 3 mos earlier. Having that officer respond was "shocking, but not shocking at all when you're a Black person living in this city."

Yesterday, the Frey administration declined to release the internal investigation conducted by MPD related to their actions surrounding the violence and shooting of Davis Moturi by his neighbor. Mr. Moturi and our community deserves a transparency.
