Today I shook the hands of 58 new Canadians who received their certificate of citizenship. These individuals came from 21 different places of origin, and 2 of these families are residents in @ yourmapleridge.

Today was a pretty big day for me.

I came to the end of a road which started 31 years ago, when my children became Canadian citizens.

Now #MyCitizenship has finally been granted, and I feel fully Canadian at last.

(And not a moment too soon.)
My Certificate of Citizenship. I am showing only the seal so that no other personal information is revealed, but the whole certificate is pretty cool. A photo of me standing next to the judge who administered my Oath of Citizenship. He is a member of the Order of Canada, which I believe technically makes him a knight? Or the closest Canadian equivalent. A quick photo with the judge, me, Martin Cirulis and my Elder Spawn, Moses standing in front of the Canadian flag.
