Spotted this striking #MysteryMoth last week while exploring Wandoo National Park, an area of wandoo eucalypt forest around 80km east of Perth.

This moth is clearly a Curved Horn moth, but I haven’t been able ID it further than that yet 🦋🔎

We can’t ID this tiny visitor to our Perth Hills garden at the end of last year, although likely in Tineoidea. ID suggestions always welcome

A couple of warmer days last week brought a few new visitors to our Perth Hills moth light, including another #MysteryMoth 🔎🦋

I think this is a Tortricine Leafroller Moth but I can’t ID it further than that… so any ID suggestions welcomed

A #MysteryMoth for #NationalMothWeek

This small moth was a new visitor to our Perth Hills garden this week.

I haven’t been able to ID it yet but that striking resting position makes me think it’s likely in the subfamily Yponomeutinae

Another #mysterymoth 🔎🦋

This one visited our Perth Hills moth light last week. I think this moth is possibly in the genus Nearcha, but always happy for any other ID suggestions.

A warmer night leading into the winter solstice meant more moths to the light, including this #mysterymoth 🔎🦋

#inaturalist suggests this is a Chlenias sp. moth… but it doesn’t match any described (or undescribed) species in that genus I’ve found so far.

Mystery moth...🔍🦋

One of the brave moths that visited our Perth Hills moth light on this cold, wet week.

Despite those fluffy labial palps, we've yet to ID this lovely moth although presumably it falls within Pyraloidea.

Mystery moth...🔍🦋

We spotted this moth in March 2025.

Even though it's quite striking with those lovely white wing tufts, I haven't yet been able to ID it. So if anyone has any suggestions on what it might be... let me know

Mystery Moths 🧐🔍

We record numerous moths that I’ve not been able to ID… yet.

Like this lovely micro moth that we see quite a lot at the minute which I think is one of the Feather-legged moths (Family Stathmopodidae).
