I've always thought this, but I just wanted to say... @musicologess.bsky.social is really the Bluesky Laureate of #NACVGM.

Anyway, enjoying SMT/AMS 2025!

Feels very weird to post anything celebratory these days, but here goes: thrilled to announce my student and I were accepted to NACVGM to present on organizing a video game ensemble at a uni, and that I was accepted to Hanyang University's "Audible Futures" conference. Finally going to Korea!

Just registered for NACVGM 13! Excited to be performing, as well as hearing a piece I was commissioned to write for soprano and piano trio, based on text from Portal 2.

Seeing Laura perform even a single time is a life-altering, soul-shifting experience. I got my radio job in part because of her concert for Michigan State hosting the NACVGM conference.

Those of us who get to share in the laughter and joy she brings to the VGM community are lucky beyond belief.
The @officialgdc.bsky.social concert this year was fire!! Here's a short clip from one of my favorite moments: performing "Alicia" from Clair Obscur: E33. This song has been stuck in my head since the game came out--so magical to perform it live with my talented colleagues in the orchestra!

I don't mean to jinx it, but I'm sooooooo excited to travel to #nacvgm tomorrow to see all of my video game music academics IN PERSON for the first time since 2019!!! I've been so grateful for the hybrid conference in recent years, and I'm so happy to make it happen in person this year ❤️

There's something poetic about flying out of Burbank to the sunrise. At this year's #GameSounsCon I had so much clarity of purpose; I experienced inspiring conversations, new ideas to explore, and enthusiasm for the future of not only GSC but also NACVGM and the Journal of Sound and Music in Games.
