The CCAR, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, RAC, URJ, NCJW, ACC, HIAS, RA, Reconstructing Judaism, and Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association - these organizations represent the vast majority of American Jews, so people blaming us for the actions of Christian Nationalists need to shut up.
The CCAR joined a coalition with thejcpa.bsky.social @the-rac.bsky.social and @reformjudaism.bsky.social to issue a statement to make clear: our community’s real concerns about antisemitism should not be used to undermine democratic norms and institutions.

The CCAR, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, RAC, URJ, NCJW, ACC, HIAS, RA, Reconstructing Judaism, and Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association - these organizations represent the vast majority of American Jews, so people blaming us for the actions of Christian Nationalists need to shut up.
Maybe someday the mainstream Jewish community will finally admit that tho Heschel & many individual Jews (and NCJW!) showed up for Civil Rights, the vast majority of Jewish institutions did not, though they've been dining out on that Heschel pic for decades.
