Wonderful to present my research on 'Translating (Belgian) Empire' (@uantwerppohis.bsky.social @fwovlaanderen.bsky.social) at the #NDH6 conference in Aix!

Big shout-out to the organisers, participants & everyone involved for again turning it into a thought-provoking event! @ndh-network.bsky.social

We kick off the last day of #NDH6 with Vineet Thakur's keynote lecture on Indian Diplomacy and the Global Reproduction of Caste!

Loving every moment of the 6th Conference of the New Diplomatic History Network here in beautiful Aix-en-Provence! Thrilled to present with Noé Cornago our research on Equatoguinean diplomats in Spain.
Huge thanks to the organizers for such a perfectly run event! #NDH6 @ndh-network.bsky.social

Greetings from Aix-en-Provence, where I just presented my work at #NDH6, the biannual conference of the New Diplomatic History Network @ndh-network.bsky.social.
Thank you to the organizers for putting together such a great event.

As for the other members of the fleet, NDH1 has been scrapped, and the bodies of NDH4 and NDH5 are used as accommodation at Whyalla, SA and Knuckey Lagoon, NT respectively, and NDH6 is at Adelaide River, NT.

And with that, #NDH6 has come to an end, and participants will finally be able to enjoy Aix-en-Provence and some well-deserved rest! Thank you again to the organisers at Sciences Po Aix (especially Nicolas Badalassi and the MESOPOLHIS team), and see you all in two years for #NDH7 in Bilbao!

The second day of #NDH6 has started! This morning, I am attending a panel on "Fictions and Diplomacy", with very promising contributions by Sylvia Tongyan Qiu, Alice Xiang and Luciano Cesar Da Costa! Panels are also on about consuls, water and imperialism, and the legal aspects of diplomacy.

For those who missed it, the summary of last May's #NDH6 conference in Aix is now available on our website, including announcements about the next installment(s): newdiplomatichistory.org/aix/

Looking forward to seeing many great colleagues #NDH6 & to be speaking on "Configurations of sovereignty in nineteenth-century trans-imperial projects of maritime security" in the panel "The Depths of Imperialism: Water as Space, Environment and Security Concern" w/ E. de Lange, J. Schenk et al.

J'étais en train d'écouter cet album de George Harrison quand j'ai vu votre vidéo. J'ai trouvé que ça allait bien ensemble. Surtout le premier morceau. :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDh6...
