I'd suggest entirely the opposite. Video games-related shows are everywhere (off the top of my head: Play/Disrupt, Power Up, Game On, Third World, LuYang NetiNeti, Electric Dreams) because they sell tickets & are cheap to curate/tour, even when the experience isn't particularly suited to a gallery.

It’s my birthday, so I finally caught up on this fabulous exhibition— LuYang’s NetiNeti at the Zabludowicz Collection. It was truly stunning, using 3D rendering, mo cap, dance and music. The custom arcade featuring the artist’s own characters in every playable custom game (!!!)
