Have any of the units testing NGSW run into the obvious ammunition weight issues yet? Given that they're going from an infantry basic load of 2.5kg for 210 rounds to ~3.8kg for 175 rounds (not including magazines), so the squad rifle ammo is >9kg heavier for 245 less rounds!

There's more to unpack in the ACR report, but basically the Army spend ~300 million dollars to learn they should put a scope on their rifles, and then OICW was started to revisit the SPIW era grenade launcher stuff, which wound its way to NGSW via LSAT, even if NGSW is very conventional.
