I’d be dead if not for the NHS.
It’s that simple.
It would have happened a long time ago but just last year I had surgery that left untreated would be bad news.
Raised in a single parent, low income family, the NHS was and is the only social safety net I’ve ever had.

The NHS employees don't deserve claps - they deserve a good wage, suitable working conditions and buildings that are fit for purpose.

75 years of the NHS. There’s no body I’d rather work for. It’s such a key part of our lives. The GP who visited my home after a bike fall when the spoke went into my eye. The midwife who delivered my child. The team looking after my daughter with CF. #NHS75 #NHSBirthday

My oldest niece just qualified as a doctor and I’m torn between feeling old af and delighted I have a new family member to pester about my ailments as I continue to deteriorate.
