New Jersey students are taking a new version of the NJSLA tests this month.

The NJSLA, which is administered in spring, tests students from third to ninth grade in English Language Arts (ELA) and math, and science in grades 5, 8, and 11.

District leaders presented the annual testing report showing high NJGPA graduation-readiness rates (about 97% ELA, ~89% math), multi-year NJSLA cohort trends with pockets of recovery and some declines for students in special education, strong AP results (majority 3+), growing multilingual learner enrollment, and expanded MTSS and targeted supports.
