There's two major programs for this - NLDAC (www.livingdonorassistance.org) and Donor Shield (www.donorshield.com). Many transplant centers - especially the big ones - also have their own programs, and can even connect you to "mentors" who have been donors.

Pls urge your senators to pass HOLD (Honor Our Living Donors) Act, which just passed House unanimously! It wd make financial aid for living donors thru NLDAC based solely on donor's income. It's now tied to recipient's income, which reduces number of living donors. kidney.quorum.us/campaign/103...
