Rather than break them up, it would good perhaps to see if the NMRs (..or HERs) of England or Wales would take them on first? Some views might be exceptionally rare, or not preserved elsewhere

Yeah, to clarify I want only oxygen transfer (anionic mcpba mechanism) and to avoid any radical chemistry at all. After a bunch of NMRs today I think it's likely just doing the right chemistry and then getting oxidized by ambient O2, but so it goes

I think one of Oxbridge named their NMRs after scotch whisky distilleries, but that made Google such a pain in the ass during my PhD.

We name most of the equipment at lab. My groups NMRs are mountains (Tava, Bokan, Hood, Baker, Shasta, Glacier). Another groups are Star Wars (Solo, Chewie, BB8, etc). The HPLCs are named by vendor and model series. Waters - Lord of the rings (Gimli, Smeagle, Aragorn...)...

Is this an alternate timeline where NMRs become the dominant Earth species? Are humans sending them on purpose because we've learned they handle the radiation best? Are they in space enough to mutate a bunch? I have so many QUESTIONS!!!

MRI's are just big circular NMRs! Theres other common elements like fluorine and phosphorous that are NMR active that you can do nmr on!
In the grand scheme of things as well, H is king but carbon is kinda lousy haha, the active isotope is 1% abundant in the universe so scans take a long time!

MRI's are just big circular NMRs! Theres other common elements like fluorine and phosphorous that are NMR active that you can do nmr on!

In grad school one of the NMRs we had was a GE magnet with the software running on some sort of Apple computer with black and white graphics. Barely anyone used it because it was older than the other instruments but I don't think it ever had a hardware or software issue in my five years there

Skulle säga att du nu sysslar med false equivalency. Visst förekommer antisemitism bland de som solidariserar sig med Palestinierna men hos NMR är antisemitism deras raison d'être.
