Just dug up my instruction thread on how to set up Chrome to automatically do that -AI thing for you. It definitely helps (and gets rid of that stupid AI bit at the top of the page), but you probably still want to do the date thing if it's really important.

In Chrome, go to Settings > Search Engines. Click where it says "Manage search engines and site search"
