#NSA-Leaks
In 2015, the NSA knew Trump was a Russian asset: we know this via Edward Snowden's leaks of 2013 (i.e. extensive domestic surveillance ability of the NSA). Yet, the FBI did not arrest Trump on suspicion of treason nor did SCOTUS disqualify him as a candidate due to being a National Security risk.

The NSA is culpable, as well: in 2015, the NSA knew Trump was a Russian asset. We know this from the leaks by Edward Snowden in 2013 (i.e. revealing the domestic surveillance ability of the NSA). Did the NSA inform Obama, & if so, why was Trump not arrested by the FBI & disqualified as a candidate?

I've been on camera my whole life, according to the Snowden leaks of 2013. Before Tate (who I was unaware of, I was busy with other stuff) there was the NSA jerking off alongside me. Now, Flock cameras watch me beat it.

I'm not a citizen, I'm a porn star for the state that fucks me everyday.

the NSA leaks took all the ghosts out of the computer, its like how the flying saucer changed everyone afters perception of encounters with the unexplained. nobody was encountering fairies and such anymore, it was all space ships and super advanced technology.

Yet, before January 6th, 2021, the NSA knew Trump was a Russian asset in 2015. We know this from the leaks by Edward Snowden, who articulated the domestic surveillance ability of the NSA in 2013: it was impossible for the NSA not to know. Trump should have been arrested for treason & disqualified.

wikileaks revealed the existence of the NSA, horrific US war crimes and illegal surveillance- and under control of russia, the "guccifer 2.0" leaks which were the "hillary's emails!!!" thing.
We learned later that the hacker also submitted leaks against republicans, which they chose not to publish

After Snowden's 2013 NSA leaks, researcher Jonathon Penney found a ~20% drop in Wikipedia views on terrorism topics. People self-censored under a watcher they couldn't see. That's the deeper danger of a total score: not punishment, the self-editing before it.
This Is Not a Social Credit Score — Impactism
The most common fear about a society that honors impact is that it becomes a dystopian ranking — a real Nosedive, a state score that follows you everywhere. We take that fear at full strength, then…

The fact he was allowed to be a candidate in 2015 reflects that the system was broken, already: domestic surveillance in the USA was extensive by 2013 (Edward Snowden leaks), & the NSA definitely-knew Trump was a Russian asset. SCOTUS should have disqualified him & had him arrested for treason.

After the Snowden leaks in 2013 exposed NSA mass surveillance much of the public reaction was "well, of course they're spying on us" and "they're not looking at *my* data." Flock is much closer to home and the harms, like police abuses, are far more tangible and visible to see at the local level.
Vigilantism comes for Flock

Make this your required reading. And be sure to recall the media and public meltdown when we learned about NSA surveillance via Snowden’s leaks. THIS is so much worse, anti constitutional, and crucially: entails Trump's paramilitary army targeting citizens in a war against blue America.
Trump's covert surveillance of anti-ICE protesters is much worse than we thought. I dug into this and found that DHS agents secretly spied on over a dozen meetings of left-leaning groups, all protected by First Amendment.

The details are unnerving. 1/

I have been pretty anti-surveillance since I was a pre-teen because of the the NSA PRISM leaks but her book really gave me a lot of context about how deeply rooted into our political system many of these private surveillance / data collection companies

The Snowden leaks are when we first learned about the three GCHQ facilities in Oman that tap into those undersea cables that have landing points near those facilities.

And obviously as part of Five Eyes, the firehose of GCHQ data is shared with the NSA to use for their own intel purposes.

Snowden's 2013 leaks included a 2009 NSA-ISNU memorandum of understanding. It showed the NSA routinely provided Israel raw, unminimized SIGINT—unevaluated transcripts, gists, voice, emails, and metadata that included Americans' private communications. Guidelines existed but were not legally binding
