It’s expected to become a Super Typhoon tomorrow, reaching winds of 250 km/h (155 mph) while tracking near the Babuyan Islands of the northern Philippines.

The sun rises over Super Typhoon #Ragasa ( #25W / #NandoPH) as it approaches the Babuyan Islands in the #Philippines. The #typhoon remains extremely impressive with a large eye containing visible mesovortices. It continues to pack winds of 145 kts, though this could be a bit conservative.

#Ragasa (#NandoPH) appears to be quickly completing its eyewall replacement cycle, and it appears to have been an eyewall meld rather than a classic ERC. Not great news for the #Philippines since there is time for Ragasa to strengthen even more.
