#Bualoi/#OpongPH is now a typhoon & will move across northern #Visayas & southern #Luzon on Friday, local time, with flooding rain & damaging winds. The typhoon will pass near #Hainan Island later Sunday before reaching northern #Vietnam on Monday, local time.

It looks like Severe Storm Bualoi (OpongPH) will increase to a typhoon, 118-184km/h, overnight as it passes 75km north of our home. It's always a tense time.

The sun has risen over newly designated Tropical Storm #Bualoi #OpongPH which is organizing quite nicely with a nice banding feature on its west side! The system will have the potential to RAPIDLY INTENSIFY before it strikes the #Philippines as a likely #typhoon!

Tropical Storm #Bualoi #OpongPH is nearing the coast of the #Philippines where it is expected to make landfall over the next 14 hours. The system is then expected to enter the SCS where is could become a #typhoon before striking #Vietnam! Moderate Impacts are possible!

Well #Bualoi #OpongPH is about to emerge into the South China Sea, where it could ultimately become a #typhoon before making landfall in #Vietnam. Moderate Impacts will be possible in the country, as well as Hainan Island! Will have a stream up in roughly an hour covering it!
