#NecroBotany
Necrobotany today, with a peek at Downy Woundwort Stachys germanica in Oxfordshire. A fair few young plants seen as well as this year's finished stems. @bsbibotany.bsky.social

Also a party member is horrified to learn that Reeva can in fact cast spells from her using weird blood magic he knows from his necrobotany circle, he just usually never does. LOL
Reeva now has glasses from a dead arcanaloth, do they match his vibe? no not at all, hes still wearing them bc they remind him of his bf 🥰
Dnd today! Guess who's in the Amber Temple~!

Lots of crispy dead plants around UK this dry, hot summer! Necrobotany keeps the plant ID going into the winter.

I’ve been a botanist for over 50 years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen the word “necrobotany.” I work often with dead trees, so I will find a way to use it. Thanks!

Still getting Big Meadow Searches done despite the heat. My necrobotany ID skills have improved a lot in recent weeks!

Masses of Bulbous Meadow-grass in very trampled grassland to the north of the Snettisham beach car-park, favouring the tops of mounds where it stood out because of its greyish colour, vying with Rough Clover for best necrobotany specimen of the day...

Reeva was raised to be a cult leader, all the horror he's gone through and witnessed he's partaken in and done himself. He has perpetrator trauma. despite the guilt he's not afraid to use the Necrobotany he grew up with once pushed in game.

He's destroyed entire city blocks with it in revenge.

#WildflowerHour - the ones that got away ....
My visit to Sandwich Bay this week was sadly too late for the Sand Catchfly, Silene conica; Bedstraw Broomrape, Orobanche caryophyllacea; and Common Broomrape, which might be O. minor var pseudoamethystea, as it was beside some Sea Holly. #necrobotany

Houseleek Sempervivum tectorum on a craggy carstone wall in west Norfolk seen with #NorfolkFloraGroup this weekend. A few #Necrobotany flowers remaining for #Wildflowerhour

We need your #necrobotany skills for #NorfolkFloraGroup :)

Necrobotanist. Necrobotany is a type of magic that uses animated plant matter to simulate muscles and ligaments in dead bodies: this does not enslave a soul, and merely uses the corpse as a a non-sentient form. Theres an entire mage school that has necrobotany as their specialty

Jo demonstrates there’s no need for botanists to be hibernating. 100 spp/monad in December is certainly worth wrapping up for. There’s a bonus of earlier than usual post-botanising pubs to discuss specimens too.. and it’s not just December, we have #NYPH & then it’s necrobotany & cryobotany season!

@fungiflowers.bsky.social will probably get there several days/decades before the rest of us, but will start with (likely incorrect) the spiny calyx of a member of the Boraginaceae. Despite all the #necrobotany we engage in this part of the world, I'm just not sure- thanks for interesting challenge!

his entire circle is based around Necrobotany! While he himself isn't a spore druid due to backstory events I always liked using the fungi as a balance to his star magic.

Fungi have been seen to eat radiation!💕

Since its a horror campaign he and his backstory are based off of Annihilation

The MSB team are brilliant at necrobotany. Sea Clover (T. squamosum), a series of dots along a track, recorded by A. Lockton in 2023. Assuming it sat in the shorter sward on the track lines, it came as somewhat of a surprise that it was between the track sections, in a more competitive situation.

you had her at necrobotany

Aww, come now! It'll be FUN! They can have a few drinks and he can teach her a few fun new tricks with necrobotany! 🍂

Light academia season is upon us, wherein we dress in linen and organza and organize afternoon tea parties in the campus grounds to practice the art of necrobotany and flirt with the people we temporarily bring back from the dead with the help of plants.

Necrobotany time! These dead stems are actually tower mustard. Rare flower found mainly in Breckland seeon on yesterday's Norfolk Flora group meeting @bsbibotany.bsky.social #wildflowerhour

Apparently Necrobotany is a thing and I choose to believe it's using dark magic to bring plants back to life.
