Alte Steinwand mit unregelmäßig geformten, unterschiedlich gefärbten Steinen. Im oberen Bereich hängt eine Lampe mit Metallabdeckung, die nach unten leuchtet. Darunter ist ein quadratisches, dunkles Metallschild mit weißer Aufschrift "Entree Kasteltuinen" befestigt. Ein Seil verläuft am unteren Bildrand entlang der Wand.

Het Chateau d’Agimont te Neercanne in het ochtendlicht. In de voorgrond het pad naar de Mergelweg. We liepen zojuist het Poppelmondedal voorbij met daarin de Duivelsgrot. Hier is elke wandeling een bladzijde uit Tolkien’s ban van de ring.
Grazende schapen op de rand aan de ENCI groeve, aan de overzijde een onzichtbare Mergelwand, met daarin het nest van de Oehoe, maar die is alweer op het honk en het gefluit van alle andere vogels is overweldigend. Het Chateau d’Agimont te Neercanne in het ochtendlicht. In de voorgrond het pad tussen het ENCI-bos en de Mergelweg. We liepen zojuist het Poppelmondedal voorbij met daarin de Duivelsgrot. The vineyard of Château Neercanne in my hometown of Maastricht is primarily decorative, but it has been executed exceptionally well. Perpendicular to the staircase leading to the castle small rows of Sauvignon Gris were planted a few years ago, and they are now looking very promising.
This is the south side of Château Neercanne, where the vineyard has been laid out alongside it, gradually ascending. A part of the roof of Château Neercanne, the courtyard, and in the distance, the village of Kanne. The vineyard on the south side of Château Neercanne. Behind Château Neercanne lie marl caves, which are man-made tunnel systems that have formed over the centuries. The marlstone was used for construction. Château Neercanne uses the caves, among other things, for storing their extensive wine collection. In the photo, a large gray door is visible, serving as an entrance to the cave system. Modern sculptures stand on either side.

Start at #Maastricht station, cross the Sint Servaasbrug, and explore the center. Pass the Onze Lieve Vrouw Basilica, and climb to Fort Sint Pieter for stunning views.

The route continues into #Belgium for a rest at castle Neercanne, then follows the Jeker #River back to Maastricht

Kuvassa ihan tavallinen mäennyppylä Hollannin ja Belgian rajalla. Vasemmalla pilkottaa Belgiaan rajautuva Châteu Neercanne. Kukkula on pehmeää kalkkikiveä, minkä vuoksi se oli hyvä paikka Salaisuudelle.

50-luvulla valtio kaikessa hiljaisuudessa osti alueen Neercannelta ja louhi mäen ontoksi.

Chateau Neercanne was één van onze mooiste eetervaringen. Zeer gastvrij ook als je een normaal iemand bent en heerlijk eten. Het was wel 40 jaar geleden.

Kasteel Neercanne ook wel Château Neercanne. Gebouwd in 1698 maar hiervoor stond er ook al een kasteel uit 1316.
