I decided to slightly repaint Zyl-02 from Neko Galaxy that I originally painted several years ago. I wanted to make the whole model a bit brighter and better defined. Would you like to see me paint more 75mm models?

I thought I would share this bust of Emily Kavanaugh, lead singer of the band Night Club, that I painted up. This piece is based on the Neko Galaxy bust Test Object Perion,, modified & resculpted.

🔴Going live!

Starting the new commission piece from NekoGalaxy today!
Meaning prep & assembly before maybe priming & sketching afterwards.

BUT FIRST, I'll vote for mini of the year in the Warhammer Community thing :)

Pictured are (from left to right) a cardboard box art and a sticker from NekoGalaxy, a plastic bag containing the parts of the bust I'm starting the commission work on today and the box it came in. All on a green cutting mat.

Not Warhammer Wednesday - taking pics on non-GW stuff from my collection. This is Nalani, the Desert Born, a 1:10 scale bust from Neko Galaxy. This is a resin cast, not a 3d print.

I spent all my painting time this week just refining the hair on Blade Zero.

Now it should properly read as white hair all around. Even in the shadows and under osl. 😅

Work in progress photo of the Neko Galaxy "BladeZero" miniature bust I'm currently painting. In my painted take on the bust she's wearing a blue undershirt, a purple bolero, white hair, pale skin with black makeup as well as gree reticule shaped pupils on black eyeballs. There's also a small detail of Cyberpunk2077-inspired cyberware on the back of the nose and the metal details are painted in a very warm, orange-reading, non metal metallic, except for the knife, which is painted to look like sharp shiny steel. The holsters hanging off her shoulders are meant to resemble very worn out red leather, one of them hit by the bright neon green object source light hitting her from the left and behind - on the otherwise dark side, compared to the main environmental light (sky/sun). The figure depicted is a kind of futuristic assassin, posed in an attack-motion with one of its two daggers. I love this piece so much and am excited to really embrace the cyberpunk+synthwave theme with the painting as well.

I set off with this progress after the first ~3h of painting.

Among little things and glueing on the main arm I added some warm temperature "counterweight" bouncelights, to balance out the visual weight of the metal backpack and headdress.

And cyberpunk style eyes and makeup.

It needs some adjustments tho. The lighting is inconsistent, idk about the colors yet and am still debating the lip color.

The Pistols are painted in a bright steel with black leather details. The two fabric pieces attached to her backpack are stippled in grey and green with similarly stippled freehand in purple, magenta and blue tones. The figure depicted is a kind of futuristic assassin, posed in an attack-motion withtwo daggers. It is sold by Neko Galaxy with the name 'Blade ZERO'. Work in progress photo of the miniature bust I'm currently painting for a commission. She's wearing a blue undershirt, a purple bolero, white hair, pale skin with black makeup as well as gree reticule shaped pupils on black eyeballs. There's also a small detail of Cyberpunk2077-inspired cyberware on the back of the nose and the metal details are painted in a very warm, orange-reading, non metal metallic, except for the knife, which is painted to look like sharp shiny steel. The holsters strapped on by plack belts, as well as the elbow pads are painted to resemble very worn out red leather, some of areas of them also being hit by the bright neon green object source light. With the second knife and last section of torso belts, the last unfinished parts are done and - after probably a few rounds of touching up details - we can move on to the fancy flowing fabrics attached to her backpack!

Stippling does progress slowly.
Even more so when you're spinning wheels, doing silly little forfeits and rewards for charity.

So this final step of the Blade ZERO commission painting will just take a little longer :)

Well damn, this has changed! 😳

I do think it's a lot better, but I've never done a face this pale and bright! It feels odd, ngl.

I'll add more cyberware to it as well I think.

Work in progress photo of a Neko Galaxy "BladeZero" miniature bust with a slightly diagonal vertical split of before (left) and after (right) It's got a blue undershirt, a purple bolero, a few white-blue-ish strands of hair and a purple-yellow face as well as green-black eyes and lips. The skin is now very pale with some blue, purple and magenta influences and has a small detail of Cyberpunk2077 style cyberware on the back of the nose. I've reworked the green osl - basically going all-in where I was tentative at first.

I'm picturing a bright green neon sign nearby that causes this extra light.
