Something that I find most shocking between all the birthright citizen opinions is that Alito comes dangerously close to saying that the 14A doesn’t mean what it says because Dred Scott was correctly decided as a matter of law.

i think there's a legitimately shitty phenomenon where cliquey rich people buy a place and turn it into a cliquey rich person enclave selectively driving everybody else out, but most of the time it just means "gay people and minorities fleeing the neoconfederacy"
