#Neopagan
If you are a neopagan, the space is shitty with Neonazis too. That's where I gained awareness of this issue.

I always wear my anti fascist pin when I wear my Viking garb. You need to be aware of these things and be extremely vocal about it. They are everywhere. Yes, even Ren Faire and yes, even in your video games.

Never knew you were a neopagan. Oidhche samhain!

I’m excited to celebrate Samhain today. It is one time of the year that I specifically celebrate my Scottish Highlands ancestors in ritual - it may be rooted in neopagan and Celtic revival traditions, but it still helps me feel closer to them.

"why do polyamorous people look like that" it's not the polyamory that does it it's being a neopagan and saying that going to the library is punk rock

(I know the actual history on this is dubious but so are many things in the neopagan tradition and it's what I grew up with ha)

Midsommar - like The Wicker Man - is very much about the neopagan new age, it's not trying to be a historical film.

This is very good. Sadly it won't change a thing for the neopagan girlies, it'll just make everyone cringe even harder when encountering them.

I have to post again, because it makes me giggle...

Wolves of Vinland: A Norse "neopagan" and white nationalist hate group based in Lynchburg, Virginia, that organizes around fight clubs, ritual animal slaughter, and militant accelerationism.

Hutton is himself most likely some type of neopagan, so he doesn’t even think this makes it illegitimate! Just, you know, gotta know what it is

Anyway, President Sunday didn’t make a perfect video criticizing Catherine Liu’s Traumatized, but it’s still a better listen than this crap from a Neopagan publication, which isn’t that different from other Neopagan publications of the past when it comes to these issues.

I tend to find "christofascist" an unhelpful term, given its application (ime) to everything from atheist and neopagan fascism to standard evangelical belief to Islam(???). Think we're better off working with a constellation of nationalisms and trying to disambiguate from there
October 28, 2026 at 6:52 PM
I’ve legitimately considered becoming neopagan literally just to no longer share the atheist tag with most atheists.

This right here.

I am not a Jew. I am an agnostic hermetic neopagan.

I have always thought Zionism was a necessary thing given Hitler, Stalin, the KKK, etc. Pogroms were not a 20th c. invention.

What decent people object to is the ACTIONS and POLICIES of the current government of Israel.
If you determine whether violence against Jews is OK or not based on where those Jews stand on Zionism (whatever that is), tou are an antisemite.

I beg my fellow pagans to pick up a fucking history book... Too many of y'all "learn" from shit neopagan books and/or FB memes.
October 28, 2026 at 10:02 PM
And in some cases, just petty community crap. Christians persecuting, by and large, Christians.

There's parts of the world where Christianity-rooted witchcraft beliefs play out in much the same way still, and yet there's no solidarity from the neopagan community for them...

I'm taking Arthurian Mythology and combining it with Neopagan ideas and the Eastern European story of the Scholomance: the devil's school of magic where Dracula studied.

I'm such a lazy armchair neopagan, but let me tell you the basics of Samhain (Halloween) as I remember them.

This time of year, after the harvest but before the frost, is when the walls between the worlds of the living and the dead become thin, and we can visit each other.

I have an (Australian) neopagan friend who worships Björk fwiw

At least 16 million Women in America so far have left the Church the past decade, so I hope that the fantasy that some parts of the Neopagan community had about "needing" a centralized authority for spirituality has died down a bit.
October 31, 2026 at 3:26 AM
Exactly.

I’ve seen this a lot with European neopagan movements.

To say nothing of how some pilfer brazenly from other peoples.

Such as my own, stealing our old paganism on a whim. “Shure ye don’t use it anyway. Besides you don’t count.”

It’s beneath contempt
October 30, 2026 at 2:17 PM
At last!

Yeah some witchcraft types and neopagan movements have a serious problem with this kind of shit.

One time I brought it up regarding appropriation of my people’s pre-Christian ways and I got hit with a wall of “NOPE”.

“Your people don’t count.”

It was deeply unpleasant.

Genuinely, they were an important step in my development from a right-wing Catholic chud into a leftie neopagan transfemme doll.
