#NetFX
Maybe one day our minimum netfx version would mean we could just target netstandard2.0 and drop net4x, but that’s a different conversation.

my only recommendation is to target net472 instead of net48 as that's the "canonical" one for netfx, otherwise I agree with the rest of tfms. But it doesn't matter much honestly.

The only way anyone should be dropping netfx support is if you LITERALLY cannot do something in netfx, and I have yet to see any library which does ANYTHING that can't happen in netfx with the most insignificant of changes. Polyfill even eliminates the need to have most of those changes.

If you're a software dev and you target netcore, fucking multitarget netstandard2.0 and use github.com/SimonCropp/P..., stop dropping netfx support. It makes you look like a fucking tool.

I even wish netstandard2.1 wasn't a thing. In my ideal world netstandard2.0 is the one and only and all other ones should disappear and neither be used nor supported.

I recommend everyone only use netstandard2.0 and forget all others existed.

Similarly I hope net472 is the only "canonical" netfx

Crazy that for nearly a decade, Linqpad didn't support nuget credential providers, and then it was only added to the .NET Core releases, so netfx users, who have paid more money into LINQPad than anyone, are just fucked.

Totally missed any “porn” on Netfx. Guess I need to scroll more 😂😂😂

Ann, why didn't Ellison try to buy WBD before paramount?

Seems like paramount took forever, and nobody wanted paramount

WBD is competitive, costs >10x than the paramount deal, and Ellison seems harried, clumsy (compared to Netfx)

I wonder why they did paramount first.

Si juntais "Alfred Hitchcock presents", "Sobrenatural" y "El club de los 5" os queda "El club de la medianoche" en Netfx.

Os aviso q se ven los 10 epis del tirón (o casi).

There's a Chinese movie called: "Marry My Dead Body". Is a drama/comedy. Leaves you with positive feels. I enjoyed it enough to watch a few times. Netfx

And today consisted of a lift-shift of code from a legacy netfx windows service, dropping it into a new ASP.NET Core API project and containerising it.

That means the frontend is getting shinier *and* the backend is now being dragged (kicking and screaming..) into the 21st century.

Progress 👍🎉
Adding functionality to an incredibly old app (AngularJS, yes, with the "JS") has made for a fun few weeks.

The whole app's written in JavaScript and this was a good excuse to add TypeScript to the toolchain and write all the new bits in that. Every cloud, eh....!

Sometimes. The System.Linq case is actually a good example, as we generally don't want to use it, especially on netfx (as there's normally an uglier but more performant version), so it draws attention of/when it's added

Finally watching The Residence!

I have “access” to some netfx shows right now and I’m binging them while it lasts 😬

Wasn't WPF dead for a while during the netfx/core split before they decided to port it and winforms to core?
