Once enslaved in Netheril, Dorian bears the mark of a living ink serpent, siphoning magic from those who dare attempt to strike him down. Now an Oath of the Watchers Paladin, he executes those unworthy of life, and turns the power of his enemies against them.

Poor Gale really doesn't know who he's talking to. Lyra is a 1000yo silver dragon, and magic is as natural to her as breathing.

If Gale needs a master, Lyra's 4000yo great-uncle, Great Wyrm Nerirkarar, witnessed the rise and fall of Netheril and has endless knowledge.

And her great-uncle, the Elder of her clan, saw the rise and fall of Netheril, and has met Karsus. The Elder told a lot of stories about Netheril when Lyra was a little wyrmling.

- from whence i know little history as it pertains to spelljammer (other than the first unhuman war implicitly having a krynnspatial front) and kinda figured it might have a netheril-esque bad reputation among spacers

Coincidentally, as part of my project to get the @dndlorecast.bsky.social up on YouTube, I also just posted our episode 269!

More content is being uploaded daily. But there's already over a full day's worth of @dndbeyond.com lore and actual plays up there for you to enjoy.

Hibiscus lost his dream life twice, the first was when the church he served murdered his family and the second time was when Netheril fell.

He doesnt dream of a better life anymore. Instead focusing on rebuilding his research that was lost when magic changed.

What does your original character's dream life look like?

Is it different compared to how they live now? Why?

'Ello hello!
I got a group of three who just lost a member on an unfortunate real life change, and that means I got a spot open in the game.

They are adventuring the deserts of Anauroch, exploring ruins of old, including Netheril ones.

"Non sequitur. Your facts are uncoordinated. The only way Netheril could collapse would be a complete loss of magic due to a Weave disruption."

So, who wants to tell them?

Occassionally I think back to the pamphlet for netheril that wizards published and a rare takes me.

"If you want the party to interact with Karsus, just stat him as a lich"

Distant Memories is a T3 Dungeoncraft module written my friend and AL community renowned, Lex Winters. I even playtested this one in preparation for making the base illustration!

It's out now on Dungeon Masters Guild!

"An urgent message. A fallen city. A broken family. A history lost. A Netherese refugee asks for your help in piecing it all together, to reclaim the life she thought forever in the past...a past rapidly returning to haunt her. Visit the Netherese city of Ythryn, deep under the Reghed Glacier, and help a Netherese refugee uncover the secrets of her past. Unfortunately, she will learn that some secrets are better left buried." The art is a precious stone covered in frost, faded scenes on each facet save for one clear scene of a young woman with dark shoulder-length hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, and dark attire, holding a blue energy psychic blade.

oh right my idea of adventure in the time of netheril was already done, 20 years ago
T HE WORLD The medieval world of Eberron is a place of magic and monsters, where arcane energy infuses the landscape and greatly influences society and industry. Thanks to a mas- tery of the arcane arts, the great cities of the continent of Khorvaire contain skyscraping castles, elemental-powered coaches and carriages, and all manner of enchanted con- veniences. Magic is industry across the face of Eberron, the innovative spark that propels society forward.

#AirborneAugust is, in my case anyway, a fun little daily art challenge, quickly making art pieces once per day!

I, uh, may have gotten kinda carried away with this, compared to my previous pieces.

(ft @vernasaurus.bsky.social's "Sylas", Vale's bitterest villain)

#inflation #inflationart #AreoOCs
Airborne August 7 - Compare Description: Sylasine Arturenous (an unholy mix of Unovan/Hisuian Zoroark), or "Sylas", locked head-to-head against Valeous Araumatadenes the Eelektross, or "Vale". Two wizards of the Grand Isles, two wizards of Netheril. Both are swollen, neither seem to care. In both their hands, a Sphere of Spheres, one of ice, one of light. Their cloaks billow forth, one in tatters, the other mended. Both are backed by their elements, one of ice, one of thunder. Both so different, both so similar. In their eyes lies the only thing unanimously alike: the intent to kill. Artist's Note: I kinda got carried away with this, juuuuuust a smidge. Tragically it's a D&D thing, there's only so much I can gas y'all up to the same level I myself gassed myself up for this... but then again, isn't art best made for the self? (Maybe it wouldn't hurt to mention that Sylas here is the resident "evil fucking wizard", loves cursing people. Has a lot of folk stuck being a balloon because of him, though they seem to have adjusted nicely. Meanwhile, Vale ended up using an old plot of his with a fake Potion of "Growth" to permanently inflated Sylas! It failed, of course, but only because the dude thought to protect himself from the effects ahead of time. We haven't run into him again, but he's stuck hiccuping high-level Sphere of Spheres according to our DM. Think "Fireball, but it inflates people".) Final Time: 5h27m
