Also with the Nevermoor series, we are getting a movie and not only a movie but a MUSICAL by the writers of The Greatest Showman. And Jess is not a meanie. All round goodie with love and acceptance for all different sorts of people woven through her books without preaching at you.

I have a lot of nostalgic attachment and even I don't get it!! So many stories tell a kid that they're special and a lot is expected of them. I think they are great stories but they aren't, like, unique. Pick up a Nevermoor book and move it along

If y'all want the same whimsy, there is no excuse to stick with a brand that the creator has EXPLICITLY said funds anti-trans stuff in my country.
There are TONS of series out there that capture the same vibe. Nevermoor is a great example! Awesome series, made by a pro-trans pro-Palestine Aussie!

The people that are still attached to the HP brand because of nostalgia are not going to feel the same whimsy they felt with the original movies anyway, so if anything they are going to feel sour about it, while still giving money to a bigot. No one wins.
