My sister, a teacher, working in a Victorian classroom with one crappy fan in South London says it pretty horrendous. Although perhaps the answer would be to 1. Build newschools designed to deal with heat. 2. Retro fit air conditioning in older schools so kids can continue to learn.

My hunch is that Alpha School is deliberately trying to seduce notable education commentators by giving them (possibly paid) Potemkin village tours. I saw this happen a lot when I worked at NewSchools, politicians and billionaires would be paraded around the hottest charter school of the moment.
