insofar as anyone had a plan, it was nextstar, who saw an opportunity to bully ABC around and get trump’s favor in their attempt to swallow tegna, disney execs were just too cowardly or too stupid or both to keep from getting played

We have local ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates . The CBS and NBC stations sold out to Nextstar years ago. The Tegna ABC station started tagging with Nextstar for about 2 weeks and just this week went back to TEGNA. I hope it stays that way.

Leads me to @taylorlorenz.bsky.social video. Nextstar, along with Sinclair...have an agenda. Like, I knew all this with John Oliver's piece he did about few years ago. But, NS wants to buy Tegna...which own a few of the stations I watch in the US. Media in the states is getting bad.
To be more specific: Nextstar and TEGNA are trying to merge. Sinclair and these companies are all in lockstep and I would not be surprised if they eventually all have a literal monopoly on local news TV stations across the country. You know goddamn well this FCC and admin would not object to it.
