We took Hicks to meet both types of friends today.
There was fish’n’chips and we met some ravens, gulls, and saw a huge cormorant and an egret fly by.

We’ve been getting a lot of Cabbage White butterflies in our garden this year.

They deserve a better, prettier name in my opinion.

A cabbage white butterfly on three bright green leaves in our garden. It’s shades of white, brown and greys. The body is almost iridescent with blues, yellow and green. It has four spots on the wings. You can see Hicks’s gravel bath below it. He loves wriggling on it.
