#Norizite
I recommend NoriZite nasal spray for when you’re going anywhere people-y
When used correctly it’s supposed to be as effective as an N95 respirator mask (remember those from 6 years ago?)
We use it all the time
1 bout of Covid 🤬
No colds/sore throats etc since 2000
Have flown & cruises using it

so they create a barrier layer inside your nose and throat and prevent covid from reaching your cells and infecting you. I use norizite but there are others too.

As for antihistamines, there's research showing azelastine nasal spray gives a 69% lower infection rate than the control group.

(1) Boots Dual Defence nasal spray - contains carrageenan which mskes it harder for any virus to stick in your nasal cavity, hence reduces viral load.

Norizite is another first option with carrageenan but is more expensive and takes longer to get hold off as you have to order online.

One can reduce risk of infections while still enjoying life (respirators, NoriZite sprays etc) but Public Health infrastructure changes would be even more beneficial for everyone, like improving indoor air quality! Children (& adults) deserve better.

I've seen a lot of people recommend NoriZite nasal spray. Many use it against covid, but supposed to be good for those with allergies.

Hmmm- when put like that- not so easy to do that.
Do you use nasal & throat sprays like Norizite- good for trapping viruses- wonder if helps for pollen & bacteria? At work - wouldn’t it be great if HEPA filters to clean the air? I have a variety of different ones, including small rechargeable ones

We use NoriZite spray every outing.
N95 masks on the plane (along with about a dozen others in a three-quarter full 737) and Vinci probiotic, “for oral health & upper respiratory support”. Vicks First Defence if known contact, or suspicion of cold + jabs
Only had C once (dammit) & 1 cold since 2019

Better off with gel forming throat and nasal sprays. Those give continuous protection as opposed to only around the time of use like mouthwash.

My go-to is norizite.

Still, some products have emerged abroad.

The page notes SanoTize, a nitric oxide nasal spray now sold in ~10 countries, and NoriZite, a carrageenan nasal spray in the UK.

This shows the nasal treatment approach is gaining some acceptance in places.

Oh no! Hope you are feeling better soon Louise. I have mainly stuck to masking and love that I haven’t had a cough or cold since 2019 - I do occasionally eat or have a coffee out, and use CPC mouthwash and Norizite nasal spray then which have done the trick so far.

Try Norizite- it’s a nasel spray that forms an effective barrier for 6 hours. “Touch wood “ my son - 14- has managed to dodge viruses as I have - for the last few years. Totally swear by this stuff. Layer up protection with an FFp3 mask when on trains/ airports/planes/theatre etc.

I also use other protections, including:
HEPA filters and/or open windows where possible
Colgate Plax Mouthwash after potential exposure: dontbelievehype.co.uk/covid-%26-va...
Nasal spray (Norizite is my go-to): dontbelievehype.co.uk/covid-%26-va...
(I would use far UVC but cant afford a good lamp)
Mouthwash for COVID?
Potentially the simplest way to reduce COVID symptoms/complications if you get it: MOUTHWASH

Consider nasal & throat sprays- such as Norizite- reduces amount of virus that can get in.

I’ll pass on the chick peas, thanks 🙄
🍀 at the dentist. Ours is very airborne bugs aware, and runs a huge HEPA unit and has windows open a crack in all but Artic weather.
I use this when I’m anticipating being indoors with, you know, people 😱

I use a propolis one myself, this is a bee product and has shown to kill virus in vitro.

There's also birminghambiotech.co.uk/norizite-ora..., I love their nasal spray, both use iota carrageenan which has been shown effective against covid in one study.

NoriZite and Viraleze are the 2 I came across searching.

Ah, that's like the lemsip one I use, for when you have first symptoms. At first glance at Amazon there's something called Norizite which is the sort of thing I'm talking about, it provides a barrier.

(times like this I recommend both BioSure nasal spray and Norizite oral spray for a bit of extra plague protection 😌)
November 27, 2025 at 1:10 PM
I have used NoriZite in the past.

My reasons for public health measures are simple - less infections = less sick leave, hopefully reduce risk of (certain) long term stuff etc. Finally learnt I could do something and adapt, while still enjoying life.

Also use NoriZite in case anyone's interested

Also norizite anti viral nose and throat spray.
November 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Do you use Norizite too?
November 15, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Late to this, but maybe worth giving one of the anti plague nasal sprays a go? NoriZite was being thrown around by various book con bods a little bit ago. Might help cut the odds when you can't cover up.
