There's a store called Soutache's in Northcenter (Chicago) that sells buttons and ribbons and patches. The owner knows her inventory by heart and if I ask for half-inch black buttons, she knows exactly where to find them. It's so lovely.

Last Wednesday, ICE agents detained a daycare worker at Rayito de Sol. In response, hundreds of people turned out to Northcenter Town Square to demand her release. Thank you to Alderman Matt Martin, One Northside, and Protect Rogers Park for organizing!
